Despite only opening its doors on February 26th, the inn has quickly made a significant positive impact. It proudly received the 2025 Visit Greenville, NC Good Company Tourism Partner Award, a recognition given to partners who go above and beyond in supporting hospitality and tourism in Pitt County.

The CVB specifically noted the Hilton Garden Inn's early contributions to the community and the economy of Downtown Greenville.

March 13, 2025 - Greenville, NC - Raines has added the Hilton Garden Inn Greenville University Area to its management portfolio, marking their fourth collaboration with Clarendon Properties. This milestone also signifies the first hotel to open in downtown Greenville, NC. The 101-key property, a joint venture between Clarendon, Co-X Holdings, and Sandlin Investments, is strategically located near East Carolina University (ECU) and key local attractions.

The highly anticipated Hilton Garden Inn has officially opened its doors in the heart of downtown Greenville, NC! This marks the first hotel in the Downtown University Area, offering a prime location for visitors and a new hub for the community.

The property was developed by Clarendon Properties and is owned by Greenville Ventures, LLC, a collaboration with Co-X Holdings and Sandlin Investments and designed by EII/A Interiors.
